Psalm 78:5-8
For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded the fathers, that they should make them known to their children; that the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children, that they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments; And may not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set it's heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God.

Thieving & Wandering Goat Update

Jun 19th, 2008 by | 0

Our black-eyed pea and flower arrangement thieving goat seems to be on the mend. She finally quit slinging slimy green stuff from her mouth and started eating alfalfa pellets and drinking water and keeping them down. We are soooooo thankful things are now staying down!

She looks emaciated and horrible and her milk is probably drying up. Ugh! Just when we thought that we’d have 2 milk goats producing at the same time : (

Remember my post about finding our goats wandering on the road a couple of times? One of our new neighbors has a herd of goats about a quarter mile down the road. We are now a thinkin’ that Festival (grandma goat) may be pregnant. We wondered why when they’ve always stayed close to home they were all of a sudden wandering. New male goats moving into the neighborhood might just possibly be the reason. The neighbor has both boer and nubian goats, so we could have a meat goat or we could have another dairy goat.

We’ll see if our hunch is right.
